Analytic methods developed for the determination of nucleic acids and their composition are now applied on a large scale in microbiology for taxonomic studies. The knowledge of the composition is also important when preparing nucleotides. The article deals with the composition of desoxyribonucleic acids of useful and harmful microorganisms important for technological processes in food industries. The study covers 18 species of bacteria. The author also presents the results of analyses determining the nucleotide composition of ribonucleic acids of yeast and bacteria, as well of the RNA - preparations prepared inCzechoslovakiaon an experimental scale.
