Evaluation of varieties and selection of spring brewing barley from crop 1989.Peer-reviewed article

Keeping the right technology of brewing barley production from Czechoslovak varieties of spring barleys the malts produced belong to the top of world quality. The variety with highest quality remains Rubín followed by new materials of SK-2790 and ST-145. With respect to the new trend of greater selection there is necessary to make some changes in the present system for an evaluation of malting quality parameters. The number of the quality parameters will have to be increased.
