Contradictory opinions of vine growers in a dispute upon the most efficient pruning method. The present article opens a wide discussion which is to clear up confused points. Medium high vine bushes stilly prevailing in our vineyards undoubtedly have several advantages. Nevertheless, it is necessary to study new methods carefully. No definite decision can be made until long-term tests lasting several years prove that high vine, so popular with vine-growers abroad, meets our specific conditions.
