The article deals with a new method which has been developed for determination of glycerine in distillation residue. The method is based on the oxidation of glycerine by potassium periodate. The author describes the preparation and treatment of samples and specific features of analysis. The accuracy of the suggested method is indicated on the results obtained with standard solutions.
