The article deals with a simple method which has been developed for ascertaining the efficiency and economy of cooling equipment installed in a brewery. It is based on the comparison of actual electric energy consumption, calculated from the results of measurements, with nominal values, rated for the installation in question. Owing to its simplicity the method is suitable for routine application. The author explains the main causes of differences, deteriorating the efficiency, and suggests remedies.
