The author outlines the scale of capital investments allocated for the development of brewing and malting industries inSlovakiaand compares statistical data of the production and consumption of beer before the World Ware II and in recent years. The plans of further development envisage in 1970 per capitum consumption as high as121 lper year. The principal phases of the development and its specific features are discussed.
