The article deals with the comparison of two brewing of beer of which one contained hops the other hops and δ-resins. The difference was well perceptible. The taste and flavour differ only slightly the main difference being in the bitter components of the taste and general smoothness of the beverage. The influence of the δ-resins is therefore rather pronounced and not beneficial if their content exceeds certain limits.
