The authoress recommends the PRPM Mikrobitest cultivation method as a time-saving technique for routine tests of syrups used for preparing non-alcoholic beverages. She compares the method with conventional ones, i.e. with cultivation in solid media and underlines its advantages. Among the factors which may affect the results twor are especially important, viz. the concentration of samples and their pH. The Microbitest method has proven its accuracy in many branches of food industry and should be, therefore, used for testing syrups, too.
