High speed packing of bottled beer into cardboard boxes.Peer-reviewed article

A. KRATOCHVÍLE

The article deals with the performance of an automatic packing machine PAK-MASTER III manufactured inSwedenby EMBA SUNDS A.B. [Örebro] and installed in the České Budějovice brewery BUDVAR. The capacity of the machine is as high as 15 boxes per minute which makes 18 000 bottles per hour. The machine operates on the so called Wrap-around principle combining three operations in a single working cycle, i.e. box forming, depositing of bottles and box sealing. The author compares the new system with the conventional one into folded boxes and evaluates merits and demerits of both systems.
