The authors have experimentally tested the efficiency of several yeast growth stimulants applying as a criterion their influence upon the growth dynamic of yeast Candida utilis cultivated in a shaker and laboratory fermentors on stillage distillery slops from molasses distillery. The following preparations were used as stimulants: destiobiotin, gibberellic acid and a special compound containing trace elements. All of them are used as stimulants by plants making bakery and feed yeast cultivated on molasses, hydrolysates and paraffins. No effects of the mentioned stimulants could be observed on the amount of produced biologic mass of Candida utilis or on the quality of dried yeast. The reason is in the composition of slops, which differ from molasses by containing in sufficient proportions all necessary growth substances and can be, consequently, used as a stimulant. It is also necessary to underline, that Candida utilis is less sensitive to the shortage of vitamins than other yeast kinds.
