The article deals with the range of problems which can be resolved in the laboratory of a brewery by using a Hewlett Packard HP 97 calculator. The authors present programs for evaluating refractometric and distillation analyses of beer as well as its quality. Data processing saves much time of laboratory workers and reduces considerably occurance of errors. Other fields of application are: analyses of barley, evaluation of barley and malt quality, evaluation of pasteurization efficiency, analyses of statistics data, specification of consumption norms, calculation of extracts yields tec.
