To produce fine and superfine spirit from crude alcohol it is necessary to control all phases of distillation. To do so the composition of crude alcohol flowing info distillation plants and of products obtained from them must be well known. The authors have analyzed samples of crude alcohol, fore-run and after-run in two distilleries viz. at Kralupy and Kolín. Both belong to Středočeská Fruta Mochov N. C. Group. Analyses covering samples of crude alcohol, fore-run, after-run and fine spirit permit to draw the following conclusions: - Impurities consists of 11-15 different components. - Their concentrations fluctuate very much the range being from 1:2 to 1:5. - The quality of fine spirit, i. e. the content of impurities in it depends to a certain degree on the type of refining plant.
