The technological quality of brewing barley was evaluated with respect to the effect of potassium content in a soil, an inorganic fertilizer and an application of the bioregulator Sencor 70 WP. It was found that potassium in the concentration above 90 - 110 mg.kg-1 in the soil, which was introduced as a fertilizer or due to water regime, can negatively affect the technological quality of brewing barley. The application of bioregulator Sencor 70 WP had a positive effect on the growth as well as on the mechanical and chemical parameters of brewing barley.
