The determination of organic acids, saccharides, ethanol, methanol and diethylene glycol in wine using columns, filed with Czechoslovak ion exchanger OSTION is described. After a sample treatment with anion exchanger in the form of carbonate the detection of the above mentioned substances can be made with a differential refractometer. The results proved good properties of the Czechoslovak preparate OSTION in comparison with similar foreign preparates. Further, the analytical results of nine sorts of red and white wines from Czechoslovak and foreign production are described in the article.
