Testing the malting properties of new barley sorts.Peer-reviewed article

The article shows that it is necessary to verify the properties of new sorts of barley by malting several batches and brewing beer, and to collect thus data for comparing new sorts of barley by malting several ones. This the only possible way to safeguard the required high quality of malt and beer. Final decision, whether the sort in question should be recommended for some districts or repudiated must be based on thorough tests.
