The effect of cultivation temperature in the range from 30 to39 °Con growth rates, contents of nitrogen and nucleic acids in biomass and yield coeffitient was studied in two pilot-plat strains of yeasts Torulopsis ethanolitolerans (RIFIS 235) and Candida utilis (RIFIS 231), producers of fodder proteins from synthetic ethanol. In the temperature range used the strain Torulopsis accumulated biomass at 70.1 to 76.8 % substrate utilization and Candida utilis at 60.2 to 70.5 % utilization. Growth rate of Candida utilis decreased at cultivation temperature higher than35 °C, while that of the strain Torulopsis even at more37 °C. At optimal growing conditions the accumulated dry matter of bath strains cantained more than 55 % nitrogen compounds.
