The study is focused mainly on the barley malting varieties, the non-malting ones are only mentioned and their characteristics are given in the tables. In 2006, based on results of three-year tests, the spring barley malting varieties BRAEMAR and XANADU were registered. Further, the non-malting spring barley variety Tocada and just before the end of last year the variety Pribina were registered.
