During the continuous study of all valuable components of hops, the analytical methods for identifying of hop tannins were reviewed. It was detected that the De Clerck colorimetric method was the most suitable in terms of working techniques and achievable accuracy and requirements for the determination of all tanning components of hop. To make the serial determination more accurate and rapid without visual fatigue of an analyst, objective modification of this method, based on the principles of absolute colorimetry was worked out.
