Mycelium developing forms of torulopsis utilis. (Candida utilis).Peer-reviewed article

J. LEOPOLD, A. PALIVEC, Z. FENCL, Z. VALTER

The article specifies conditions, under which yeast fungi of Torulopsis utilis group acquire new property, i. e. power to develop pseudomycelium. It has been stated, that the stem in question acquired the mentioned capacity through adaption to medium consisting of waste liquors after citric fermentation. Stems without such an adaptation can hardly acquire the mycelium developing power. The results of large scale experiments are presented in the form of tables.
