Application of the Mitscherlich growth law to fermentation.Peer-reviewed article

The author has supplemented the latest work of M. Gaertner and prepared it for publishing. Gaertner was the first to try to apply the second Mitscherlich law, expressing the time-to-yield relation, to fermentation phenomena and to study of fermentation curves. He succeeded in finding mathematical and graphical methods for determining constants of the Mitscherlich equations. The graphical method is convenient, easy to apply and secures satisfactory results.
