The author compares two methods of utilizing ethyl alcohol present in fermented sewage water from yeast plants, viz. distillation and use in torula plants for increasing the yield of biologic substance of food yeast. The results of experiments indicate that processing in torula plants offers certain advantages only when the sewage contains a higher percentage of alcohol.
