The article deals with the application of automatic gas analyzers in fermentation industry and research institutes for controlling fermentation processes. The authors outline the measuring principles and describe several available types which can used to control gases escaping during fermentation processes. An example shows, how an analyzer can help to control the mass balance in plants producing single cell proteins from synthetic ethanol.
