Traditional tables which are used in breweries and contain all data necessary for routine analyses are now being gradually replaced by formalae stored in the memory of desk calculators. Relation between the relative density (x) and percentage (y) of extract or alcohol (in terms of mass) can b expressed as: y = a + bx + cx2 or in a more narrow limits of values, as: y = a + bx. The article deals with the estimates of constants a, b and c for various types of tables and with the program for the TI 58 calculator which can be used to calculate them.
