Economical aspects of various methods applied to prepare synthetic ethyl alcohol for fermentation processes.Peer-reviewed article

Synthetic ethanol used for fermentation processes must be refined. Refining is necessarily connected with costs depending on the refining technology. The article deals with five refining methods taking as a principal criterion purity of the final product. Extractive distillation can be recommended as an economical process giving very satisfactory results.
