The paper brings the results of the continuous Mg-bisulphite fermentation tests with Candida Utilis in CHEPOS laboratory fermentor. The experiment carried out in this fermentor proved good hydrodynamical conditions and sufficient oxygen transfer for the dilution rate up to 0,324 h-1, and specific production up to 5,2 kg. m-3. h-1. The results of continuous collection of all the measured data indicated that the specific oxygen consumption (SSO) could be considerably lower than it was generally assumed, especially with high yeast concentration. The mixing and aeration parameters changes during fermentation enabled to evaluate correlations both for volumetric oxygen transfer coefficient - kLa and for power input in aerated fluid.
