Two lysine analogues containing chlorine (2-monochlorcaprolactam, chlorlysine) were compared from the point of view of their capability to select mutants producing lysine. The mutant Corynebaterium glutamicum 9366-AEC/100/CHL-37 was selected which was resistant to chlorlysine and was able to produce 45 g/l lysine after 4 days cultivation in 20l fermentor.
