Application of antifoams during fermentation of alkaline proteases.Peer-reviewed article

An application of antifoams in the production of microbial enzyme preparates is very significant. The article describes the application of chemical antifoams during a submerged fermentation of alkaline protease with the production strain of Bacillus subtilis. A comparison of various types of antifoams of the domestic and foreign production is made in the experimental part of the article. The experimental result proved that the most suitable preparate of domestic antifoams was Depenol N 101 that was developed for this purpose in the Research Institute VÚP in Nováky.
