The production of fodder yeast from distillation slops and from the liquid medium after baker's yeast fermentation as tested during several last years. The best results were achieved with the yeast Trichosporon cutaneum. It was found that the fermentation can be performed without pH control that is significant from both standpoints of the ecology preservation and the saving of sulphuric acid. Also the utilization of distillation slops for the thermophilic methane fermentation was tested. Using this process the COD can be reduced by 55 %. Biogas is produced in the quantity of 20 m3 per m3 of slops and the vitamin B12 in the quantity of about 300 to 800 mg is obtained, too.(In Czech, English summary only)
