Determination of cellulase activity using the tablet S-Test Cellulase Cx.Peer-reviewed article

The tablet S-Test Cellulase C_x was routinely used for the determination of cellulase activity C_x in the enzyme preparate "Cellulase" (production strain Trichoderma viride) from Cooperation Farm Petrova Ves. In the comparative method carboxymethyl cellulose, as the substrate, was enzymatically hydrolyzed and reduced saccharides formed were determined by the reaction with 3,5-dinitro salicylic acid. For the cellulase activity C_x of 2,33 μkat.g^-1 the value of a variation coefficient was v_k = 3,6 %.
