Measurement of kieselgur discharge in a laboratory filter.Peer-reviewed article

The article is focused on a measurement of kieselgur discharge in a small laboratory filter and on a verification of the filtration equation. The results were dependent on properties of the filtration bed. The highest discharge and reproducibility from the measurement with four different beds was obtained with textile tissue. The discharge of kieselgur was measured by the method with the ashored layer and by two methods with the gradual washing on of kieselgur under the constant pressure difference.
