Different procedures used for laboratory tests of three varieties of winter barley originated from sugar beet and potatoe districts are described. The potatoe growing district was found to he better for winter barley cultivation in the crop of 1990. The best properties from all three varieties were proved with that of Danilo. The results show the prospect in the selection of winter barley varieties for malting processes.
