The results of the first Czechoslovak varieties tests in EBC scope.Peer-reviewed article

CzechRepublichas been a regular EBC member since 1994, but workers of the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting (VÚPS) are already taking part in activity of EBC commissions since1991. Incooperation with SKZÚZ Brno and ÚKSÚP Bratislava, field tests in stations Věrovany (ČR) and Báhoň (SK) were secured. Owing to high protein contents it was not possible to evaluate the tested from Báhoň station. As the best one from tested European spring barley varieties in the station Věrovany there was Dallas variety (GB), which is cultivation year 1993 with 11,7 % protein contents in barley corn reached extractivity of 82,9 %, possessing at the same time high values of another quality parameters.
