Bitter substances and essential oils analyses of hop hybrid new selections.Peer-reviewed article

The article summarizes the results of selection tests performed by the Hop Institute Co. Ltd., Žatec in 1995 with accent to key analytical parameters of cultivated hybrid seedlings. Attempt has been made to attain a higher α-acid content as well as of further important substances. Assessment of the yields has been at the same time made, wich is important from the economical viewpoint. From the analytical results followed good prospects of hop hybridization experiments, which were enabled by new legislative, unlike to date performed done selections, their possibilities being nowadays considerably limited.
