Positive Effects of Beer on the Health of Population.Peer-reviewed article

Beer ranks among foods having the most positive health-related properties which one can consume. In case of an adequate consumption positive effects of beer drinking markedly exceed possible negative influences. In the presented páper are individual effects of beer on health discussed. Beer contains all components which human body needs. Due to low concentration of alcohol there are, in case of a moderate consumption of beer, a decrease of stress, a support of blood circle, a decrease risk of cardiovascular diseases. Beer is a source of energy in spite of no content of fats. It is a source of vitamines. It contains relatively low concentration of sodium. It contains bitter hop substances. It exhibits antibacterial activity. It acts against osteoporosis. Due to anthocyanogens and polyphenols it exhibits a positive effect on heart and digestive tract activities. Due to present free radical scavengers there are even anticarcinogenic properties to beer attached. From the viewpoint of the content of contaminents beer ranks among the least loaded foods.
