V. SALAČ, M. KOTRLÁ-HAPALOVÁ, M. VANČURA
Kvasny Prum. 1956; 2(7): 146-150 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1956043
The influence of furanogen substance (proteins and pentosans) from hops was such as to cause in beer a more pronounced separation of middle-molecular protein fraction B. The negative influence of long preparation of wort with hops as well as the advantage of the use of hops extractors has been thus proved. The negative influence of furanogen substance and some fractions of proteins has not been proved with certainty.(In Czech, English summary only)

The separators of fusel-oil in raffination devices.Peer-reviewed article
B. MELICHAR
Kvasny Prum. 1956; 2(7): 154-156 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1956045
The author recapitulates development of fusel oil separators and describes those used in ČSR. He comes to conclusion, that the simplest and cheapest separator with only one washing produces fusel oil of unsatisfying quality, yet by means of sequent decantation in a suitable decantation tank with conic bottom its quality can be raised as to meet the prescribed standard.(In Czech, English summary only)

J. FARKAŠ, E. FIALA
Kvasny Prum. 1956; 2(7): 157-159 | DOI: 10.18832/kp1956046
The authors recommend to separate the iron and other cations by means of a complexon (Cheleton III). According to their experiences the amount of 0,06g/l it is sufficient, when added to an average kind of wine of Carpathian provenience.(In Slovak, English summary only)
