The author outlines conditions which must be created in medium-capacity bottleries to ensure their maximum efficiency and pays special attention to bottle handling systems from smooth operation of which depends the output of the bottlery. The article deals with the speed of conveyers, speed control systems, obstacles in the path of bottles and regulation of bottle handling devices.(In Czech, English summary only)

15 authentic strains of Saccharomyces pastorianus quite evidently showed a two-thirds raffinose fermentation. Further 15 strains belonging to 7 species of the genus Saccharomyces, as well as 2 H. anomala strains fermented one-third reffinose [ S.cerevisae S.bayanus, S.oviformis, S.veronae, H.anomala], three-thirds [S.Carlsbergensis, S. uvarum], or were unable to ferment raffinose [S.heterogenicus]. None of the S.pastorianus strains fermented galactose. The morphological, physiological and biochemical properties of the strans fully fitted the description of S. pastorianus given in the monograph by Lodder...
