The article described the quantitative determination of saccharides in brewing intermediates and in beer using high pressure liquid chromatography on Czechoslovak ion exchanger Ostion LGKS. It has been found that chromatography on silicagels with the stationary reverse phase of C18 cannot be used the separation of saccharides.(In Czech, English summary only)

To determine the accuracy of proposed methods for a testing of beer (alcohol, extract) on a base of the values of repeatability and reproducibility a computer was used. According to the international standard ISO/DIS 5775 and British Standard BS 5497 the program in Fortran language was developed for the computer M 4030-1 inComputer center of the Corporation of Breweries and Malt-Houses Prague.
