The deteriorating quality of  basic raw materials and the requirement of high and balanced quality bring new demands even on checking methods in brewery. New methods must be rapid, simple, applicable in the very point of production process and interference-resistant. The important requirement is the most simila-rity of analysis and monitored process as possible. For example the measurement of beer haze induced by destructive methods in the course of colloidal, aptly microbiological stability oř the measurement of beer filterability in laboratory microfilter také precedence over the determination of individual compounds influencing these complex...

Priorities and disadvantages of perlites against kieselguhrs given in literature were confronted with results of experimental filtration in semipilot and full-scale plant trials. Perlite is possible to use both in precoat and dosage in combination with kieselguhr. The quantity of perlite and its portion depends on the type of filter and filterability of beer. On the simulated example there is documentated the economy in filtration aid costs at rate 15%. In practice it is possible to achieve by consistent application l0 up to 20% economy at comparable quality of filtration.(In Czech, English summary only)
