Problems of metals in beer - Al, As, Cd, Pb.Peer-reviewed article

V. KELLNER, P. ČEJKA, F. FRANTÍK

The significance of the individual metals of Al, As, Cd and Pb from the standpoint of brewing as well as that of hygiene is discussed. Concentrations of these four elements were determined in 31 samples of 12%, 10% and 8% beer commercially produced inCzechoslovakia. 107 determinations were made on the whole. The results are compared with those published in the literature and with the Czechoslovak Hygienic Other. All the concentrations determined experimentally were below the maximum permitted value.
