Ornithine and citruline production by fermentation.Peer-reviewed article

J. PLACHÝ

Productions of 10 g.l-1 citruline and 30 g.l-1 ornithine were achieved during 96 hours submerged cultivation of auxotrophic mutants of Corynebacterim sp. 9366 which were dependent to arginine. The ornithine preparation process by a fermentation has been developed. The production of 30 g.l-1 ornithine was achieved after 60 hours of the cultivation. The production medium contained molasses and hydrolyzate of peanut meal.
