The authors outline methods which can be used to obtain yeast biologic substance from whey or from, whey mixed with ethanol. Manufacturing processes used at present, which differ from one another by sort of yeast strain, fermentation rate and methods applied to separate biologic substance, are compared with a new technology based on fermenting mixture of whey with ethanol. It has many advantages, since the final product has higher dry matter content, which in its turn improves the productivity of the process and makes it more economical.
