Brewing and malting industry of Japan and their development.Peer-reviewed article

Japanese brewing industry is a modern and well equipped branch of food industry and is characterized by the application of up-to-date technology and efficient utilization of all recent achievements of science. Despite general economic stagnation brewing industry thrives and many new breweries are being built. SinceJapanis short of necessary raw materials, it imports malt and hops fromCzechoslovakiaand is in this respect one of the biggest customers. No discriminating practices restrict imports and Czechoslovak products have - owing to their outstanding quality-very good commercial outlooks.
