The first part of the article deals with history of production of machines and equipment for brewing industry which started in the ZVÚ Works at Hradec Králové many years ago. Then the author spacifies the present manufacturing program paying special attention to equipment for brewhouses. He describles all avaible types, i. e. for conventional brewhouses, gravity and one-storey ones. Under the designation of equipment are understood all installations and machinery required to prepare wort,i.e. malt crushers, cooling systems, water supply systems etc. In their desing and constuction prevail trends to automated, large-capacity units.
