The article deals with the equipment of a new malting plant, which has been built at Sirpce inPoland. Its capacity is 50 000 t of malt per annum and its project has been worked out in West Germany by a specialized firm, viz. C. Seeger. The equipment is of well-provene type with the Saladin malting Boxes and one-floor kiln. Special attention has been paid to maximum, possible concentration of all technologic installations, to automation of principal processes and to short distances in material flow scheme.
