The presence of strange substances in food products is checked more strict from day to day. The estimation of chlorinated pesticides and copper in raw materials, wort, final product and brewery effluents from pilot-plant and in commercial beers provided evidence that about 90 % of the comming active ingredients come out towards the brewery effluents. The presence of chlorinated pesticide was not determined in wort and beer. The content of copper was in a range of 0.2 - 0.3 mg. kg-1, i. e. below the permitted level.
