The article describes experiences with a maintaining of yeast at very low temperatures using liquid nitrogen. This procedure permits to achieve the temperature of-196,8 °C. Comparing with other methods, this procedure is more expensive but its great advantage is in the relatively high viability of cells (62 -95 %).
