The photoelectric device for a measurement of beer foaming is described. The device include a swinging arm with the light equipment that can be submerged into the foaming beer. The electronic equipment measures the time of the light passage through the liquid-foam between two adjusted positions of the light equipment. The destruction of froth can be measured in a range of the validity of the destruction equation of the first order o as the time foam the beginnings of a foaming to the chosen stage of the foam destruction. The maximum reproducibility of the measurement was obtained for the beer foaming induced by an injection of water beer or by a supersound. The relation between the foam values according to Ross-Clark and those obtained using the photoelectric device is described.
