Lignocellulose materials as a substrate for biotechnologies.Peer-reviewed article

A. BLAŽEJ, I. ŠPIDLA

The presumption of biotechnology development inCzechoslovakiais the acquirement of raw-material basis. Current source of carbon for biotechnology i. e. main raw-material are saccharides - molasses, starch, saccharose. It will be necessary to revalue the possibilities of beet sugar utilization and accept measures in the production as well as in consumption. The better utilization alternative phytomass - lignocellulosic materials is retarded by economical and technical problems. The optimal solution of such problems in the presence is the production of medium and lowtonnage products of higher prince from phytomass hydrolysates in existing pulp and paper combinates.
