Microbial proteins.Peer-reviewed article

F. MACEK

A review about microbial proteins gives the fundamental approaches with technological and economical parameters of preparation of: a) microbial fodder proteins, both yeast and bacterial, produced from a variety of substrates, b) microbial food proteins, with possibility of utilizing all cell components. A short survey is presented of the possible utilization of waste microbial biomass. The economical feasibility of the process, availability, and price of raw materials, the demand for the product and its quality, affect to a major degree the realization of individual productions.
