Principal factors of the control of L.lysine biosynthesis, with chromogene mutants of Brevibacterium species, are the rates of carbon source utilization and the quantity of nitrogen source in the fermentation medium. After an optimalization of the fermentation process the L-lysine production in a range of 43 to 49 g.l-1 in 96 hours with the conversion of 45 to 49 % can be achieved.
